“THE AUTOMATED FACTORY”
Schnell will present at SAIE a major leap into the future
The Bologna Exhibition Centre 16th-20th October 2002 will be transformed – for the SAIE event, the International Exhibition of Building Industry Industrialisation – into an enormous Forum dedicated to the construction world.
This year as never before, professionals in processing steel for reinforced concrete absolutely must visit the Schnell stand - since the solutions on display are the most innovative in the last 10 years and radically change the production system of future steel processing centres.
The innovations that Schnell will premiere during the exhibition can be put into three categories:
? The first concerns the introduction of 4 absolutely new and patented products offering innovations beyond all expectations:

? The second embraces three new machines extending our range:

? The third set of innovations concerns "process innovation" - a new approach to production, totally integrated and controlled by "GRAPHICO-OPTIMO" management software - which is particularly effective for steel processing centres utilised for the civil building industry and individual elements.
Process innovation combined with Schnell's advanced technical solutions means the "automated factory" is now a reality:
• major reduction in employee levels;
• conversion of employees from routine operators into process controllers;
• higher plant productivity and extremely high safety levels.
“GRAPHICO-OPTIMO” management software is the core of the “automated factory”, with the revolutionary automated loading/unloading systems, the possibility of producing bundles of cut bars and single bent elements, the assembly of prefabricated-cages without needing an operator are the means for its implementation.
This is the ambitious project that Schnell has pursued and implemented today thanks not the least to collaborations with the bold and far-sighted clients who have chosen Schnell as a partner to ensure maximum integration between people and machines.

A. Software: "GRAPHICO-OPTIMO" management software by Schnell Software is the core of the integration process in the "automated factory": it optimises job orders and distributes quantities and types of work over different machinery. Data is converted into instructions, which are directly executable on the machines. They all receive information (serial, radio or bar code) of office-processed data: processing is operator error-free; production is continually under control, times and material offcuts are minimised.
B. SPEEDY BAT: Newly designed cutting station with 6 independent tracks, ideal for working with single elements and in particular for residential buildings. The system ensures very high speed in performing optimised cutting cycles, with an increase in productivity of 30 % compared with previous systems. It also ensures easy bundling of all bars.
C. "GENIUS" automatic loader: An absolute world innovation which can be applied to machines such as cutting systems or the Bar-Wiser to load steel bars in a completely automated manner. GENIUS picks up, counts and feeds machines with bars of any diameter and length. GENIUS eliminates the need for operators to load bars or input processing data, since our machinery is completely remote-controlled through the management software.
D. BAR WISER PLUS: a bi-directional bending machine for steel bar processing with single or twin capacity of up to Ø 22mm or Ø 16mm (# 6 or # 5). Ideal for bending yards who process single elements, BAR WISER PLUS, thanks to the “GRAPHICO-OPTIMO” software, makes it possible to prepare bundles even made up of different bars to create a single constructional element.
The “automated factory” concept also embraces major innovations that make BAR WISER PLUS a machine well worth seeing. Automatic loading (thanks to the GENIUS system described above) along side the ability of performing automatic unloading:
the bundles of finished bars and bent pieces are automatically unloaded at high speed without the need for lifting systems (thanks to the unloading system).
Moreover, BAR-WISER MULTIFEED makes it possible to work with both, bars and coil, thereby extending the flexibility of the machine and opening completely new fields of application.

COIL 20: Bi-directional bending system ensures high power in processing single and twin coils of Ø 20 mm or Ø 16mm (# 6 or # 5). It is designed for large steel processing centres and heavy-duty applications.
EURA 16: The culmination of a long-term design process. It is a supremely flexible machine meeting the needs for high-output of both stirrups and shapes since bends can be performed on both the right and left sides of the work piece.
FORMULA: It ensures maximum stirrup production speed. FORMULA is the fastest bending machine, capable of producing stirrups in about two seconds with capacities up to 3,600 pieces/hour. more... Dobladora |
